Institution of Locomotive Engineers

The Institution of Locomotive Engineers (ILocoE) was founded in 1911. The ILocoE was formed for the '...dissemination of information concerning Locomotive Engineering and its allied sciences by the reading, discussion and publication of papers and otherwise'

ILocoE merged to become the Railway Division of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in 1969.
